Description
This is my second attempt at a pair of goggles, and my second time working with brass. The first pair had absolutely no brass, and this time I think I erred in the other direction!
I cut the cups on a band saw, scoured the lacquer off all of the pieces so they could tarnish, and the whole affair fastens in the back with a bolt and a knurled finishing nut.
I think the next attempt is going to have leather cups with brass faceplates and accents - these are a little less comfortable than my leather ones. The nut and bolt fastener are working better than the buckle did, so that stays for the next one unless I find a really interesting brass buckle before I cut the straps.
