We're going with some friends to the Harry Potter theme park this weekend, and I'm certain my daughter is going to want us to bring our wands. I'm also certain I'll be carrying them both most of the time, so I rigged this to carry my wand plus another one.

The lighter wand is some mystery wood I nicked out of someone's yard trash a few years ago (I want to say hickory or scrub oak,) finished with oil and beeswax, and the dark one is carved out of a red oak dowel from the hardware store, stained and finished with gloss poly sealant. The leather is a belly cut out of my scrap bag.

This is by far THE best wand holster I've ever seen. I love the swirl design in the stitching. Beautiful.

Would you be offended if I asked to make one based off your design? that swirl is just awesome.

wow, nice :) Which hardware store did you get your red oak from? I kind of want to experiment with different kinds of wood and don't know where to look.

I think it was the Home Depot? One of the two big box stores.
