I needed a pair of durable daytime goggles, and the Number Twos were too uncomfortable, hence came #3. These have the same brass eyepieces, but with thick leather inserts.

The rims are made from a pair of brass rimmed rubber doorstops (Home Depot, ~$4 US ea.,) and the nosepiece and shielding on the sides are cut and cold shaped from a brass kickplate that has been growing smaller bit by bit as I find new things to make.

Come to think of it, none of the parts for these things are salvage, so if you have the means to do a bit of rudimentary cutting and shaping (I get by with an old electric band saw with a multipurpose blade, a Dremel with a cyllindrical cutting bit and a hand drill) you could probably make a pair just like them.
